Introducing some of our newest residents:

Bob & Jill Zuercher
After working with Bob and Jill for a few months, I was able to find them what their idea of a lifestyle that matched  their retirement “dream”
How did you like working with Tara?  "She listened very carefully to our wishes, wants and needs and guided us skillfully through the entire home search & buying process.  She is highly professional, warm, and friendly.  Basically, she’s amazing!"

Tara:  Where do you come from?
Jill&Bob: We are moving from Monroe Twp., NJ.  Bob grew up in a small town in Ohio Amish country about an hour from Canton, spent his college years in Indiana, then moved to UK , & Philadelphia, finally settling in NJ.  Jill is a born and raised “Jersey Girl”, true to her roots full of compassion, love, (piss&vinegar.....) opinions

Tara: Why did you choose Pawleys Island & what do you like best about your community?
Jill: Bob had been on several golf trips & it made a wonderful lasting impression; it has everything we want within a very short distance minus the major hustle and bustle of Myrtle Beach:  Golf, golf,& more golf, beautiful beaches, shops & restaurants within a short distance of our new community , the fabulous weather and wonderful people!

Any children/pets?
Jill:  We have three grown children, proud grandparents of 6 grandchildren ages from 9 year to 9 weeks!  We also have two pain in the a** ,but adorable Golden Doodles - Bella & Beau

Tara:  Any continuing careers or goals?
Jill:  I have always been involved in the health industry and am currently operating my own business as a Birth Doula. I love helping women plan the birth experience they want creating a positive and joyful birth, one at a time..  When women are nurtured, they make better nurturers.  I am planning on continuing my career as a Birth Doula in Pawleys Island.  If you need services, or have questions please feel free to contact me.
Bob had a varied career 4 years as Mennonite church bureaucrat at the denominational level,4 years as a Mennonite Missionary, then after returning to graduate school at the PhD level, 20 years as a process improvement consultant to the pharmaceutical industry and 7 years as a project manager for a small privately owned pharma company.  He is now retired we are loving it!  So far it's a dream come true to spend each day as we want, doing the things and being with the people we love.  Jill loves the beach, fishing, boating, gardening and golf, entertaining friends and family.  Bob is a 4.5 USGA hanicap index golfer.  He enjoys walking, biking, reading, writing and computer technology.

Tara:  Causes that are near and dear?  Bob is concerned with the growing gap between rich and poor in this country and energy efficiency. He was an early adopter of the Toyota Prius and would love to install solar panels for our new house.  Sustaining our planet is a general concern.

Tara: Do you have any leisurely or serious goals?
Jill:  To stay healthy enough to enjoy a good number of our retirement years.  Bob really wants to write some stuff.

If you could describe yourself in one word?
Jill: Grateful
